How does allocation with chain stores work?

I'm wondering how allocation with chain stores like Ben Bridge works? From what my SA tells me, it sounds like allocation comes directly from Rolex, but I wonder if the BB corporate office has any control over which store receives certain pieces.

im sure there is more layers of management approval. I would also suspect in the case of multiple stores in the same market the allocation is divided by the management not Rolex on an individual store basis. Seems easier for Rolex to just deliver to the "chain" not to all the locations like they are separate customers. That is just a guess though

What led me to wonder about this is that the BB that I go to says that everything sells. DJ, lady's models, everything. And I believe it. It's located in one of the busiest malls in the US and there's almost always customers in there.
So if this is the case, wouldn't BB send them a more desirable allocation? Or would the opposite hold true in that because they sell everything maybe they don't give them the good stuff? Not really relevant either way but something I was thinking about.

it has to be like anything else like liquor, wine or cars. the stores with the most volume will get the most allocations for scarce pieces. this should hold true whether it comes directly from Rolex or distributed through corporate.

As per manager of ADs outpost, they get their own allocation. That also means they have to push non desirable stuff too!

I hear orders and allocation happen at basel. That doesnt mean a big chain store cant source another watch from another location.
