I don't know anything about these watches but think they both look great, for sheer elegance, I would go for the Dan Heney. Either is a good choice.

Agree ! They both looks nice, but my personal preference would be brown leather strap on the H&S. but if you like bracelets, that is an excellent looking option.

Presume they are both going to offer similar longevity for you

Same opinion...I like the look of the leather strap.

It's 40mm other was 38mm
I have a large wrist but 40 is my limit.

Sounds good

The Höglund & Sons Mark I Chronograph was created as part of a successful Kickstarter project (see link below) by Brandon Hoglund, the founder of the popular wristwatch review YouTube channel, WatchesOnYou. Given his extensive experience reviewing watches at all price points (from $50 to $500,000), he wanted to create a watch with some of the features of his favorite high-end watches, but at an affordable price. His first creation, the Höglund & Sons Mark I Chronograph, exemplifies this goal and incorporates the following unique features:

-Sweep Seconds Hand Chronograph

-Seiko VK64 Mecha-Quartz Movement

-Tachymeter Scale

-Timezone Scale

-Unit Conversion Scale

-Sapphire Crystal

-316L Stainless Steel Case

-Lumed Indices and Hands

Both watches look pretty darn good to me. However, I do not like the bracelet on the Dan Henry.

Leather strap looks better.

It's a win-win situation, regardless to what you chose here.

To answer your question though, of those two I would pick the Dan Henry piece. Can't wait to see what you end up picking

Do you have any additional info on this piece? It looks like something I might end up adding to the collection.

I would have done the same, the H&S. Panda dial = big yes!
Also not a big fan of the DH bracelet.

BTW, in the first post, I know you meant "movement," but using the abbreviation MVMT has a very different connotation.

Both look good. I've got a couple of Dan Henry watches that are still going strong after a few years, and I like that one, and its beads-of-rice bracelet. The only drawback is that the 24 subdial is a 24hr timezone indicator not a 24 hr lapsed time dial.

How are the quality in the dans?
Do they look vintage in person?
And will the beads of rice bracelet fit a large wrist

I don't know about the bracelet size, you'd have to check the website for length. Build quality is great, especially the cases. Dan H is a major vintage watch collector and really knows his designs. They look great in person, and have a nice vintage feel (the ones I've seen anyway). They seem to hold their value in resale, too, oddly enough.

This is his personal collection site: www.timeline.watch
