5212 great watch. Sub 50k seems good. MSRP no brainer.

Turns out they are not canceling their orders but flipping them. Not good for the person who really wants this watch to wear.

Down to $46,900, which means you should be able to negotiate it sub $45k.

I'm continually surprised at how if you case a watch in steel, this madness happens.

I remember when no one cared about steel in these price ranges.

Prices are still dropping. Any thoughts on how much lower with the current market conditions?

Right now, given the madness that's going on in the world and world markets, it is impossible to properly price any asset or item. More stability is needed for that.

So, those who can hold onto inventory will. Those who cannot, will keep dropping prices until someone bites.

Simple as that.

Succinct, to the point, clearly stated ... And I agree! The world is in the midst is a big time-out unlike anything my generation has seen.

A major grey in HK has a BNIB 5212A priced at 40K. I would imagine there's still some wiggle room. Looks like the days of MSRP are closer and closer.

I agree with you that most if not all will move to MSRP, with some moving quicker than others.

Curious to see the amount of deliveries in the future, if the aftermarket price drops to MSRP or below.

Me too, PP said that his is not a limited edition just a limited production and the price dropped from 82K in October to 37K now (3 on chrono24)

It’s initial high price may largely have been due to novelty - it’s not a model that has the “show off” characteristics that aquanauts and nautilus have. Not many footballers wear round strap watches.

Footballers?
Show off characteristics of aquanauts and Nautilus?

Sounds ideal if it doesn’t appeal to footballers or have show off characteristics!

Exactly - I’m saying it’s fall is attributable to the characteristics that make it appealing, ironically.

I hope these keep dropping. I want one badly, but said very early on that these were not gonna hold. (Very similar to the 5524 imo). If anyone has any leads or any available, let me know!

What’s the RRP?

It’s a lovely watch, and I’d seriously consider it if I wasn’t looking to buy a beater Nautilus....

Just your basic steel 5711 or 5712. I have 6" wrists and they fit great.
