Completely agree.

I am following AYTYStyle IG and her collection of MR, SS and PCC really grow on me. I am a big fan now, but low on budget and future earning power.

Those pieces are really sexy. And she likes sushi.

I have been toying with the idea of getting a MR - why not have a watch that tells the time no matter your eyesight?

While I like the 5078 w opaline dial - true stealth wealth - it is both beyond my budget and Patek history, I am afraid. I might have to rekindle my love for 1990s / early 2000s IWC and get a rose gold IWC 5240 at some point.

I was wondering what those would go for now on the secondary market. Would be over or under the ugly green strap?

Weeklies are still coming down ever so gently. 14 on C24 now and are solid under 50K euro. Cheapest ones at 47k euro now, and dropping :)

Wonder how or why they are being re-sold so quickly on line.

Isn’t it obvious?

It was bought to flip...the real question is what is what is the real demand

I suspect the demand will be decent. It's a SS PP watch so supply will be a determining factor if secondary prices remain at a premium.

If it remains at a decent premium the allure of owning it will push prices higher - it's a vicious cycle.

c/f with the 5524 which is a G. Once PP starts producing more, prices started tumbling because it didn't sell for a premium it's now no longer a ''hot'' watch.

My 2cents.

It's a nice watch. Doesn't feel like a Calatrava because of the weight.

Doesn't look much like any other Calatrava either.

dress watch with steel material is lack of charisma. the dial is not special. For slim dress watch like this, I prefer something else like 5146R, 5130R, 5205R

Don't see it as a dress watch personally.

Easy wear it with shorts and sandals but I guess the humidity might not be ideal for a strap piece in jakarta? We can but dream of the heat.

Some could debate any role, dress or otherwise.

Compared to dress watches PP have made, I would say it looks like a multifunctional Swiss calendar business watch.

To be dress, one would expect 2 hands, demure size and super thin casement.

Slap a Hirsch waterproof strap on it, problem solved

Ditto. The reason I like the 5212 and would consider buying is that it is NOT a dress watch.
