I like the stuff coming out of Halios and even Ming (although I don't love their design language).

However, when you can get something like the new Seiko Alpinist (SPB155, SPB 157 and SPB159) at the same price point, and it's all made in-house, then it's hard to argue with the Seiko value proposition.
