New DJ41 Blue today

Hello all,

Bought my first Rolex today - DJ41 Blue dial SS with smooth bezel with Jubilee bracelet. Really over the moon with the watch.

I was torn between this and a used Sub as I can’t get any professional models in a sensible time frame, but very glad I went with this. I have my name down for a sub or BLNR, hopefully I will get the sub in a year or so.

Some initial thoughts

- everyone is different, it I think the DJ will suit me more every day than a Sub. I wear a suit every day, but even casual I think it looks good
- glad I went with jubilee, I don’t get the old man watch feeling and love it
- tolerances, quality and finishing are brilliant
- was a bit surprised at the box it came in, feels cheap to me but will be put away so who cares, but surprised
- The Audi show room where I go to get my car serviced feels much more upmarket than the AD 😂

Don’t know how to post pics, I will when I can.

Wait was about 6 weeks form deposit to arrival.

I have this but different combo. I’m waiting on a sub also. Do you think you will only wear the sub once you get one?

Well done...got mine 6 months ago and still can’t stop staring at it. The light changes it pretty much every time you look at it. Enjoy!

Fantastic watch, it is capable of doing anything you ask of it. Swimming, scuba to recreational depths, sailing, skiing, anything within sane possibilities. Perfect at the office, Pub, or black tie event. You have chosen wisely. Congratulations. Enjoy it for decades in good health.

I don’t think so, now I have the DJ I think it will be my daily watch, seems very versatile to me - probably more so that a sub (but I don’t have a sub so can’t really tell!).

I do like outdoors stuff, and do dive (not very often now with kids, and always with a dive computer like the rest of the world 😂), so could see a sub as a weekend watch, but DJ seems much better suited to work for me.

Since getting my DJ41, it has probably got most wrist time, maybe 70% ....

I'm enjoying the element of bling with the PCLs & the beauty of the blue

I was 100% sub / sports type wearer ...

6 weeks is a great turnaround. I thought the blue face datejust had a bit of a wait. 6 weeks is great. I have the same with the Dion's dial and am yet to wear it but think they're great. Congrats

Congratulations. That is the best DJ41 combo IMO. Although I am biased since mine is the same combo.

Congrats and great choice! Can't go wrong with a blue dial. Wore my GMT Master for 24 years and recently traded it for a new DJ. No regrets and don't miss the GMT at all. The new movement is just icing on the cake! Mine says hi :)

I am interested in the OP combo but after seeing this fluted bezel it's not a simple decision between the two.
