New 1st time owner

Just bought a new Oyster Perpetual 36mm with the blue dial, I think it's a 116000.
I Have admired Rolex for years and finally decided to bite the bullet and get it.
I have only had it for a week and really enjoying it.

I have bookmarked the "Forum acronyms and vocabulary" thread and intend to try and learn them all, and there are a LOT of them.

All that said, and I will read through this whole forum, any tips for a first time owner who is nearing his 70's?

Thanks

Thanks all. As you might have inferred from my initial post, I am not a man of unlimited cash resources. But the lure of Rolex over many years finally pulled me in.
Sadly, after reading these forums for a couple of days, it seems it may be a LONG time before I can get a second Rolex.

I am thinking either a Submariner Hulk or a GMT-II Pepsi. But seeing as how my local S. AZ dealers can't seem to get them in stock, it is going to be a long wait.

And I am not really comfortable going the grey market route even with all the info I can find here on TRF.

But that's okay really. I suspect I will be spending way to much time here doing research.

OBTW, since I can't seem to edit my original post, what I bought was a 34MM OP, not the 36 as I originally posted. But it wears on the wrist well so am okay with that. Plus, I could afford it.

The price point on the oyster perpetual is perfect. Rolex did a great job pricing it. Congrats on your new watch!

Congratulations on acquiring a fantastic watch. I'm in my 71st year and have been wearing Rolex and enjoying an old Sub and old DJ36 for quite awhile. You've done good, my friend.
