Another one added to the collection

So, today I finally brought another Rolex to add to my collection (3 so far)

Have been looking for another for about a year now and when I saw this one, I just couldn't say no.

It's a 2002 GMT MASTER 2 16713 and I love it

Congratulations!! My uncle has the same reference that he’s been wearing as his one and only for years! Enjoy

Btw that DJ on the left has quite the shimmer. Almost like a different finish I haven’t seen.

Thank you, it just seemed the right one to add to the collection, as I felt it would sit really nice next to that DJ and my 1970 SS sub.

Yes, I agree, brought that one about 10 years ago after walking past it countless times in Canterbury, Kent UK.

I've had a lot of people comment on the finish on that one as it's not com thing you see very often at all.

Very nice reference. Well done.

That DJ has really special finish on it, not seen one like that before.

It's not actually a DJ, it looks like an OP model. (no date)

My 1970 sub is in my safe deposit box. It will be going in for a service with where I brought this one when I am next up there.

Really looking forward to getting that one serviced as it really needs it.

Thought I would bring an old thread back.

We have been looking for some info on the 14kt gold one.

I am currently in the USA and my 5513 sub, and this gold one is back in the U.K.

We used Chrono24 and did the watch scan it it says model number 1005.

Has anyone seen a 1005 with this finish on before?

We would go to a shop and get it checked out, but The U.K. is back on a lock down 😢
