Now i've been told that the first 200 of the SS pieces are able to swap out straps (but only external straps). The SS after the first 200 will in fact have a fixed steel bracelet.

Finally, the WG Rubber will not fit the SS, but other rubber will?!!?!?! I am waiting to hear if this is internal lange straps or only an external brand.

If anyone knows anything, please let me know!

JPS
Wow, i was suspecting they would do something like that once I saw the rubber strap attachment. They could have easily left the holes for the spring bar open so you could detach it.

Until we see one in person will be hard to see how they attache the strap/bracelet without being able to remove it afterwards.

I suspect if there are no openings, to remove the first linkage, may involve cutting it to access the springs bars.

Still as I have shown, there are not many aftermarket straps you can use on the odysseus due to the space.

Both beauties, congrats! Are hairlines and microscratches an issue, or you just ignore them? Or do you polish them off with Cape cod?

My Lange 1, bought in 2003. It was my first high end watch after a long study of the Lange history, the beauty of the movement. As a Swiss, I had to overcome quite some internal barriers, but true watch lovers can recognise excellence across the borders. Will be love for ever.

For all ALS lovers, I encourage to browse through Dr. Crott next auction catalogue and between some beautiful Lange, you will discover a Lange 1in SS. It seems that it is the 7th SS going to auction. Hope you can enjoy and for those with deep pockets...

I can relate to the internal obstacles which had kept me back for quite a while too. But I’m not looking back, now that I purchased my L1.

Back on my wrist after a few months. Lockdown with three young kids plus a Lange 1 were not happy bedfellows.

It's absolutely beautiful, the black date is a rare sight in the Lange lineup.

Congrats on the Odysseus! When I first saw the pictures I really liked the watch except for the bracelet. This was after purchasing without ever seeing it. Now that I have tried in on various straps it seems best on the bracelet. Enjoy!

Beautiful pieces everyone.

1815 Up/Down on a blue strap to dress it down for casual wear.

Thanks,

It's from Hodinkee. It's their "Reid Watch Strap In Royal Blue"

It's actually a bit lighter in color than the picture indicates. It matches well against the blue hands.

Works especially well during these Covid times when I'm working at home and a dress watch would feel a little ridiculous around the house.

Very sharp.

The above blue strap could work on this too, or a custom black with blue stitch, this could be quite versatile.
