Reporting Stolen Explorer II Serial Number X499368
Hi everyone,
My beloved Rolex Explorer II 16570 was stolen on 28/10/2017 at a swimming pool in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The manufacturing year is 1991 but I purschased it at Watches of Switzerland, Leicester Square, London. The serial number is X499368. The watch has been with me through out my life for over 25 years. It really was a devastating day. The sentimental value is just too invaluable. The police report has been made. Although there maybe a little chance that the watch will be sold outside Indonesia but I am posting this to stop stolen property being sold. Thank you all for taking time reading this post and appreciate if friend from Rolexforums can forward this information to your network. |

Sorry to hear that.
Ensure you report serial number to Rolex. They have a stolen database for any piece returned for service adam

Now that you have reported it to police you should report it to Rolex as people have already said. In the event that somebody in future puts it in for a service then Rolex would confiscate the watch to return it to you. There is a chance of this happening if it is sold to an unsuspecting victim who does not realise they are buying a stolen watch.
Also, keep a daily check on Ebay and any other local Indonesian buy/sell type websites. I would also check out any local pawn shops too just in case they may have been offered any for sale. Good luck and I hope you get your watch back some day.

Very sorry for your loss. Are you a regular at this pool? Are there security guards? Talking to them and letting them know that you are offering a reasonable (no questions asked) reward might see the watch find its way back to you.

Hi Milov,
This is a very good idea. I am regular. Maybe I can sort that out! Thank you! |
