Thanks! Comes with black. The black rubber looks great too. Having the leather as an option is also nice, but for me it won’t get as much wrist time as the rubber or bracelet.

One big plus with the silver dial is that I think it will work with all the strap colours so there is more to play with.

Obviously I am in the honeymoon phase, but the overseas really feels like the ideal mix of high end watchmaking and daily wear robustness.

This sits in contrast to my 15400, which I dearly love, but the words of the manager in the boutique “it has 50m water resistance, but better not to get it wet” still haunt me.

Agree, silver dial works with every colour VC has in their pallet. No need to puzzle over strap/dial colour compatibility!
I ordered mine about 6 months ago and at the time of order was told the price would be around 1.5k usd... but they were not very sure about the price until strap arrives. During my waiting period they had some price correction to the straps so eventually i paid ~420usd for the strap + ~50usd for small pin (not the buckle).

420 is very reasonable! That's around what they're charging me for a non custom strap here in asia....

Mby we are talking about different types of custom. I chose mine from a standard colour pallet VC has in their boutique. Straps of those colours are priced same as readily available straps with no extra mark up though there is a waiting time and ordering process.
If your are choosing from a different shades of blue maybe you are placing a real custom made strap order where you can demand any RGB colour you want, not limited to what VC has in their boutique’s pallet. In this case I’m not sure how high the price could be

Thats really interesting, I wasn't offered such a vast choice of colors.
Mine options were limited to a few shades of every color. My guess is what you are offered is a true custom made strap service. What I chose from was a standard selection of colors but available only upon request. It explains why they are priced the same way as always in stock straps. Btw how much they quoted you? if you dont mind sharing.

Haven't been given pricing yet! They just emailed me the leather swatches the other day. But i will post as soon as i get more info!

I got the same one, awesome combo, though did get old after a while. Perhaps I should put it back on to give it another go. It’s been a few months.

It also looks like we have a similar taste in cars, more specifically BMW dash trim.

Yeah, I agree. I habe the grey and a brown leather. I’d love to get a white rubber but the boutique told me they only have the white rubber for the small seconds version.
