This will be a FOMO frenzy like the 5522. Let’s see how long it’ll take for the first one to be flipped at double retail.

Will you be asking for the Tiffany's stamp 6007? That will be truly special.

Sorry I find this one ugly. The blue hue doesn't work for me. The cluttered dial with 1-2-3-4-5 and 5-10-15-20-25 ... and the worst of all is the Louis Vuitton Damier-like checkerboard pattern! And the fat hour/minute hands .... and the fabric strap looks cheap.

If it didn't have the Patek Philippe logo, would I buy it for $2000 (USD or HKD)? No thanks.

My AD said if I wanted one I'd get one (perhaps because me and my friends bought 5 unsold dress watches in April/May to support our AD) , but she was very sure this watch did not appeal to me - and she was right.

It looks a bit like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox.

Very original they haven't been in Patek

yes that seems to be my gripe with it too. for 28k US i think it should of had the new 330, doesn't really make sense for the older non hacking (and when the 5212 has the updated one also)

Selling a year old watch as new? Do they know it's 2020?

Basic older PP movement.

Date window does not match dial (really???).

Five-year warranty? Ten-year warranty for the added cost they're asking?

At that price, is the first service (or two) free?

Am glad they have a new building, as this should get service times back down to 8 weeks or so.

Personally, I prefer the JLC dial.

Am sure they'll sell every one, and flippers will be fast for profiteering. Kinda like Hertz stock.

They don’t stamp the LE stuff like this. I have the 5522, no stamp, but I do have the blue outer box.

Looks terribly uninspired in my opinion. The only appeal is the limited number. No idea how that is the best a manufacture of some of the most elegant and timeless watches in the world can come up with. Maybe Thierry designed it himself at his desk. No designer worth their money would think this looks good and present it to the team.

I guess you equally think anyone who likes the piece has no taste.

To each their own. I expressed what I think about the design. It's almost like they just wanted to case up a bunch of old movements they had lying around to clear the shelves. Imagine they would have actually created an innovative piece to commemorate the opening of the new building. And I agree with member enjoythemusic; if you feel the need to charge such a steep premium for a watch that doesn't look special on its face, you had better have the newest movement in there and a crazy good warranty period. I'm glad it's limited to 1,000 pieces. Chances are slim that I'll ever see one in the metal.

reminds me of this $40 Swatch

Got a text from my wonderful AD of 9 years, who said that a) Patek will choose the customers for this piece, and b) he’ll make it happen if I really want one.

I believe him.

More food for thought: If it had a 3 o'clock numeral hour marker and NO date window and if the watch was made in a more unique metal like titanium it could have been the most fun weekend watch (with a slightly better dial design yet). Shit they could have used beautiful Breguet numerals and filled them with lume to make it look more casual.
