Sold all my Rolexes except the SS Daytona when I start collecting PPs.
Then, I was struck with the beauty of the Platona and got it.
I have now gone to a stage and age where other Rolexes don't interest me.
Only new releases from PP does.

Never owned a Rolex.

Not out of principle, and not that I haven't thought about getting a few over the years, but there was always sth about the design / look that held me back.

Pretty much so. I own five R’s and only one or two seem to make it on my wrist. My daily PP is my two tone Neptune, black dial. I also have my first PP a 5080/1j. Back to the Rolexes I can envisage selling three off the top, zero wrist time. Rolexes are common, Patek are uncommon. Rolex screams Rolex, while my Neptune is low keyed.

I much prefer any day-date (36/40/41mm) as a daily beater

I have been going the other way - selling my pateks and getting more wear out my rolexes. The rolexes are just bomb proof, I don’t ever worry about them when I wear them.

No, I still own and wear them in rotation. I am not buying any more Rolex at this point.

Yep, me. Wore my GMT for about 8 years, switching it up with a Panerai, then got a VC and have worn nothing else since (except on occasion).

Indeed, though I‘m typically too close to my watches to care much about the across the room view. Up close the sheer perfection you get elsewhere does stand out even against the fantastic quality you’ll get from Rolex

Agree with Tom, though a Panerai Luminor is another choice... and yeah it can be seen across the room... if that's a goal.

I actually bought my first Rolex after owning Patek, ALS and AP... I now own 3 and they are all sport model. I do not wear them as often as the others though.. I am not a splashy type so I rarely wear them out of the house that often or if I do-- when will be in my office at work mostly alone and wearing long sleeve shirt :). It is ironic because if you pulled out an Patek Nat or Aq... and a Rolex and said which do you want--- they would select the later

I have stopped long long ago, but I also refuse to sell any from the Rolex/Tudor lineup.

It’s odd that feeling of keeping them but them getting 0 time on the wrist.

I still wear my Patek dress watches, but the lack of simple adjustability has been their achilles heel for me on the Patek sports watches. Between the quarantine adding a few pounds and the summer months in full effect, they're all too tight and needing to add a link rather than being able to pop open the easylink on my Rolex's is ridiculous.

I'm moving off Rolex a bit but i guessing that I will never abandon it completely.

I bought my first Rolex at the age of 12 and have been wearing Rolex ever since. At the moment I have three Rolexxes,
1. Air-King (will prob leave soon)
2. Sky-Dweller blue ss (going nowhere)
3. explorer II polar that i bought when I got divorced ( i'm keeping the memory of being freed)

I am going to expand on my Patek collection coming years, I made a plan with my AD on how to get the more popular models. And i'm taking the route Pateks described so good, enjoying the route and the process all the way

I just went full circle. Rolex => Other brands => Patek => FP Journe => Rolex. At the end of the day Rolex has such a good balance of price, durability, some prestige/value and overall good looks.

Yes, a white gold BLRO, a solid everose rootbeer and a YG sub. But yeah.. I don’t own a Patek sport watch, maybe it will be different if I have a 5711R

The new BB58 Blue has staying power. Don’t underestimate its simplicity!

Around the house I've stopped, I just wear beaters. For special occasions I would wear what I consider special pieces to me which includes my Rolex.
