Seamaster 300M bracelet alternatives
Hi All, I purchased a SMP 300M— black dial and black rubber strap— a couple months back. I love it on rubber, but want the option to put it on a bracelet as well. I went to the Omega boutique to purchase the oem bracelet for it. The only problem was the bracelet didn’t suit me, which surprised me because everyone’s bracelet pics on TRF looks great! I just wish there was some taper and that it looked less dressy. I am looking for other bracelet suggestions. Ideally something made by Omega, but that is not a requirement. Anything that fits well, looks less dressy, and is of ok quality. Thanks for the help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I wear mine (older model) on an Omega Shark Mesh. I love it but its probably not for everyone.
I don't have the watch on me but it looks like this (taken from Google) |

I think the OEM omega bracelet looks great. The microadjust is kickass. The only thing I dont like is how heavy it is, and the edges seem a little sharp, so it translates into an uncomfortable bracelet. Smoother edges and a gentle taper would have been really nice.
Am I correct in thinking that you are specifically looking for a bracelet, and not other rubber/NATO/leather options??? Finding an after-market bracelet will be really tough because the OEM endlink is uniquely designed for the SMP 300m. Those twisted lugs and the case design really work best with the intended omega bracelet. Having said that, I think you could try some generic straight-end SS bracelets, like this one from strapcode: www DOT strapcode DOT com/collections/super-o-boyer/products/metal-ss-bcl20-b032s That one has a little taper from 20mm to 18mm at the clasp. Personally, I think mesh bracelets look good on omega watches. Something like this: www DOT ebay DOT com/itm/MILANESE-MESH-WATCH-STRAP-NO-TIME-TO-DIE-BOND-FOR-OMEGA-SEAMASTER-WATCH-20mm/184316340753?hash=item2aea1c2a11:g:fRcAAOSwNHZe1-BB Please post and update if you find anything good! |

I was thinking the other day what a SMP would look like with a PO bracelet or something else. I doubt it would fit.

I’d go with a strap in the summer.

Did you get your bracelet yet? Please post some pics as I am in the same position as you (Diver 300 on rubber -- didn't want to buy the OEM bracelet). Thank you! |

I did get a bracelet from strapcode. The bracelet jangled so loudly I couldn’t even wear it, as if it was defective. Plus the clasp was way too big. (I got the clasp with micro adjustment which added some length.)I requested a refund. Haven’t heard back. The search continues... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great idea! I do like the looks of the Bond one. I called Omega, $1450. I knew it would be a bit, but I can’t justify paying that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Holy Frit! $1,450???? That is totally nuts!!! I would buy a Tag Heuer F1 Quartz as a nice beater or a Nomos as a hand cranker before that bracelet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
