I like the 5740.. I also like the 5131 except I won't purchase a watch without a seconds hand-- or chronograph or tourbillon.. I have to see something that shows constant action... :)
With that said, I still like the 5740 a lot. But as one poster stated-- re-setting if not worn often is a pain. I own one Perpetual (Lange) and I don't wear all the time but what I do is try to wind it when I switch pieces so that when I do need to set it .. not too much work. The other issue with the Patek WT is there is no way to set for Daylight savings time. . I do a lot of conference calls with folks around the world and a WT is quite useful for me but it makes it more complicated to have to add or subtract an hour vs just memorizing the timezone differences. |
