5327R is a stunner and classic Patek. Doesn’t get much better with the rose and ivory combo and the breguet numerals finish off that gorgeous dial perfectly. Just a beautiful timepiece, congrats!

Very nice. Having seen the blue dial in person, I think you made the right decision. The contrast between the RG case and the dial is great. Congratulations.

Congratulations and wonderful choice. Love the applied breguets and color choice, although I would be tempted by the blue also but this seems easier to read and more versatile. I'm a big fan of the 240 and the PC complication belongs on a Patek. Very classy, enjoy.

Very nice.
When I opened the thread in ‘new posts’ I expected a ‘Grand’ Seiko.

Congratulations on this new incoming. I was torn between this and the 5320g last yr. I ended up buying the 5320g because I was on the list for the 5740

That is a truly lovely timepiece. Only quibble is that i wish it had Breguet hands.

The dial looks so warm; the numerals so elegant; and the watch looks flexible enought o be worn in multiple situations. I could see if looking equally smart in a non-black suit, collared shirt / business casual, light sweatshirt and faded denim, and even shorts and a tee shirt. You've gotta keeper, my friend!

@Ichiran: congrats on a fantastic piece. I have the other scalloped lug family members 5227R and 5205R both with white/cream-colored dial, so I would agree on your choice of the cream. The blue is excellent but as you point out, the cream seems a little more warm and timeless. If I were to get a perpetual to complete the "scalloped lug triumvirate", the 5327R would be the one.
You are a fortunate man indeed, enjoy your new watch, cheers. |

Congrats Ichiran,
just one question out curiosity.... how does one maintain a perpetual watch. is it something we wear 4 days a week and when u dont wear - you put it on a winder or its more of a buy and keep in safe kind stuff which u take out once in a blue moon & dont worry about the day/date mismatch. new to the world of Perpetual. |

Thank you all for your kind comments.

This watch comes with a cylinder (like a winder), which turns a predetermined number of times per hour to keep the watch going when not in used. This cylinder is powered by 4 batteries. The remaining life (by %) of the batteries can be set up to show on your smartphone, hence when it is time to change batteries, it will prompt you via your smartphone. So far this watch is on my wrist all the time so I do not have the chance to put inside the cylinder yet. |
