The Moonphase Moonwatch. The ultimate moonwatch or is it a disaster..?

Hey there Omega Enthusiasts,

Had the opportunity to purchase this moonwatch with moonphase complication.

Is it better or worse than the original moonwatch? Hmm

Here is a video of the watch. Enjoy. :)

I have often wondered about this variant of the Speedmaster Pro, but I don't recall ever seeing one in person. I enjoyed watching your brief and informative review. Thanks for sharing

It is a lovely watch, the moonphase is great but the date is impossible to read. I love mine as one of several Speedmasters but if I had to have just one it would be the original Moonwatch.

Its not bad, but not for me. Dial definitely looks crowded IMO.

I like mine. It didn't get a lot of wrist time before as I grew tired of it and almost sold it.

I am glad I didn't because I took off the Croc step and bought an OEM bracelet for it today and it feels like a new watch again.

I like that! Love the idea of having a date complication on there and always thought the moonphase thing is cool on any watch. I probably look down at my MW 2 or 3 times a day instinctively looking for the date

I actually like this version of the speedmaster moon phase 304.33.44.52.03.001.

The moon phase is centered on the bottom of the watch instead of the top.

Agree. That is a stunner. Best looking Moonphase Omega produces. I may (eventually) move from my standard hesalite moonwatch over to this, or just add.

Agree, and also prefer 3 subdials over 4

I have this watch and love it. I also think it may be a future collectible.

After all it is a Speedmaster Professional based on the famous 1861 caliber - with a moonphase complication. Manuel wind. Most importantly it is 42mm not the oversized 44mm with the thick caseback. This beauty will easily fit under your shirt cuff.

The transparent caseback lets you admire this piece of horological history.

Very underrated.

I agree. What would be considered a good price on a new one and used one?

This is well executed. Definitely one of the best Omega offers. Especially in that blue.

I can’t seem to find any at that price point. Most are north of $6750 and up

Disagree. That date function is terrible.

I have to agree the date is difficult to read. But the dial is stunning
