Seamaster London vs NYC

Happened to be close to the Regents Street boutique yesterday whilst wearing my NYC edition seamaster so I popped in to have a look at the London version. Poor photo, I apologise, but wanted to share a side by side shot.

The blue London version looks smaller than the NYC variant and was hard to photograph. It was a nice watch, but something about it just didn't grab me despite quite a dynamic dial. Hard to explain. Old photo of mine in better conditions and a stick image of the rear which shows the skyline of the relevant city which is pretty cool. The box comes with a loupe to inspect the details.

For the price (about £5700 ish for the London watch) I think these are great for a modern dress(ier) option without going full on precious metal and ultrathin. I wear mine with a t-shirt as much as a shirt cuff.

Good comparison mate.

I think I like the NY version better (despite being from the UK). I just have a thing for grey.

The skylines on the back are an awesome touch

These watches are uber-cool. I'll bet that London edition looks dynamite in person, but I must say your New York edition is absolutely delicious.

Thanks for sharing this.

Love the New York one. I’ve had a London one on and it’s quite loud being very flashy blue. Prefer the NY. Very classy

I really like both of these watches but the New York get the edge if I was buying.

I like both, but for some reason all I can think about when I look at those two watches is the H. Moser & Cie Pioneer Centre Seconds (in Steel with eithe blue or green dial).

I love Omega but honestly would probably prefer the H. Moser & Cie. Two different price points though...

I considered a Moser a while back too, but not directly vs the Omega. The case is more substantial on the Moser and it felt much more of a sports watch, especially with the rubber strap. I've noticed a couple of the Moser pieces for sale recently for near as makes no difference the price I paid for the NYC too (boutique only so no discount, NYC sales tax etc) which is good news if you want one pre owned

Appreciate all the comments. The London blue definitely pops, perhaps "flashy" is the right word.
