My old Computron

I was playing around with my old 1970's Bulova Computron today, one of the first digital watches and complete with the original Bulova/Speidel wrist hair puller stretch bracelet.

I don't want to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol IS a solution!

Wonderful watch

Sad to say I lusted after one of those in my youth, sadly I was unable to afford one. Ended up building a Clive Sinclair kit one which was not very good at keeping time and ate battery's at an alarming rate.

Cool but when you think that it's these kind of things that almost killed the watch industry, the real one, it's scary...

All the Red LEDs were like that.
That is why they did not stay in style for very long.
The watch industry quickly went to LCD.

Wow that's super cool, thanks for sharing! Are the batteries still standard/easy to find?
