Anyone purchased a SS Daytona from Govberg?
Just curious if anyone's had any luck with them. They seem like a big dealer, so assume they get more pieces than other smaller ADs.

They are in my area where I live. I've been in the stores a few times......
I use a different AD who is fantastic. Never tried to get a Daytona though.

I would imagine that anything is worth a try, so go in and start talking. From a business perspective, they probably have plenty of established clients to offer the next Daytona that they get no matter how numerous there allotment might be. Since they sell used pieces if none available at retail perhaps preowned is available at market price. Good Luck.

I bought a few AP's from them and wasn't even considered.

I asked about bundling a dd with a steel gmt or Daytona and they told me they wouldn’t. In my experience the customer service is top notch there, but they deal with a lot of big money and don’t take new names on a list.

Best of luck.
At this point in the SS Daytona product life cycle, current SS-shortage, and SS-demand - you need to be a long time client or prepared to spend serious $$$$$$$$$ No matter if it is small AD with few pieces a year or large AD with many pieces a year you will need to wait. How long will be predicated on your VIP status. Sure Govberg gets more pieces but they also have more clients spending bigger $$$$$$$. Looks like your location is NY, NY. If you're shut out in NY, chances are that it will be just as difficult in Philly |

I have purchased twice from them. Trustworthy with great inventory. And you can return it no questions asked if you are unhappy. They will also negotiate on price, plus sometimes they have extra sales on eBay that are funded by eBay. I think they are a great source for pieces. And if you find it cheaper somewhere else, then you can buy elsewhere. |

I’ve purchased a few preowned from them. Had a great experience. I’d do business again

They also own watchbox
So they would be happy to take your almost new watch in trade

I wonder if OP's question is really, "Govberg sells these pre-owned all day every day for 2x MSRP or whatever. I wonder if all their new stock ends up in the "used" section for twice the price" or if any filters down to their customers?
Maybe it's just my question? I do seriously think it's a giant conflict of interest in the current market to be selling new for MSRP and "used" for 2x MSRP, not that Govberg is alone in this situation.

I have purchased 4 watches worth around 50+K from them. Very good experience. However, was told right on the face for the SS Rolex allocation "Sorry, the boss decides who gets the hot SS Rolex models and they are usually our VVIP customers"

I have nothing bad to say about them but I too wonder this. I looked at a “used” Batman the other day that still had some stickers on it and was listed for over $17k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
