Speedy pro moonwatch sapphire or speedy Tokyo panda?
Wanna get a speedmaster but I like a panda dial more than a black one. But it doesn't mean I dislike the black.
The price of the panda in the secondary market is almost twice the amount of the black one now. Is it worth pulling the trigger for the Tokyo 2020 panda? Sent from my VOG-L29 using Tapatalk |

It's hard deciding one or the other.....both would definitely be my pick....but if one I think I'd still go with the exclusivity of the Tokyo 2020.

Wow I really love the look of the panda. Black moonwatch is more classic, but you can get them everywhere. If you can get a decent deal on the panda, I would say get that. It's gorgeous, plus much less common.
I can barely see the hands on the white dial, but that just means I get to stare at it longer to see what time it is. |

It's one of the cleanest Speedmaster Panda dials, and has an adjustable clasp. The previous ones (Mitsukoshi and Apollo XI 35th) are no longer available in new condition. This one is still available new for the moment.

There are so many options in the Speed Master line-up that I would have a hard time paying a premium for one. The white dial is nice but I prefer the Speed Master Racing dial in white, grey or black. Take a look. They are advertised as 44.25 but wear like a 40-42 mm watch. With just your choices here though I would save the money, go black dial and get a few straps. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Love the Speedmaster panda, it pops. Omega also produced the ref. CK 2998 Pulsometer with a white Panda dial a couple of years ago if you want to check out a watch with a similar look. If I recall it was a bit smaller and less expensive than the Tokyo 2020. Both are fantastic looking pieces.

my friend wears his omega tokyo panda daily and it is a real beauty. I have the 116500ln panda but i might just get this too! It is very hard to come by in the secondary market where i am staying though. I believe the omega tokyo panda will continue to rise in value.

Love the Tokyo speedy panda. Not sure it’s worth the $10k market price.
