My Daily Laugh....

When I go to the FS section and see the crazy, inflated prices of watches, it makes me laugh. Anytime I feel down, I just go to the FS section and see all the bumped threads. I find it hard to believe that people are paying almost 100% over MSRP for a SS Daytona, or 50% more for a SubC. Are these really selling?

Yesterday I read of a forum member who scored a SS Daytona from DavidSW. He must have paid close to double MSRP for the watch. Is this real happiness?
Or did Barnum prove his theory, again.

Agree. If folks want instant gratification it comes at a price.

You know what I agree with you completely! There is no way that a steel ceramic Daytona is actually worth 100% over msrp! it is just not! Thats almost precious metal pricing! How can the precious metal version of the same watch be worth almost the same as steel?!
I understand the premium the Daytona always demanded, but 100% over retail??

When I was looking to buy my SS Sub and was told a waiting list times of 3 years plus by the local AD so was tempted by the pre-owned market for that instant gratification..... till I saw the prices!

In the end I got my Sub from another AD in the UK within 3 months or so.
