I know this is tongue in cheek but Rolex did make a battery powered quartz Day Date back in the day.
There are members here that own them.

No you are absolutely correct, very obvious to the knowledgeable by the case shape for sure. I wish they’d bring them back. The Tudor North Flag does mimic the old OQ case pretty well though.
