Tudor 7928 franken?

Hi there, first time caller long time listener, on the hunt for a good 7928.

Just looking at the ebay listing for a 1966 Tudor 7928, however a couple of things are strange about it. It has a Mk6 open chapter ring dial, but with a Mk4 pointed crown guard case. Has anyone heard of the open chapter dial and pointed crown guards being used together?

Also, the serial is partially scratched off, which I guess can happen with the endlinks scratching against the case, but again this makes me suspicious.

Seems like a great deal though, let me know your thoughts.

EDIT: I suspect this is a misidentified 7016. The crown guards look like semi pointed not pointed.
