How long does a wire transfer to Australia take?
Just sent my first ever wire transfer to Australia.
How long does it take before the receiving party gets it? |

It would depend on the senders bank, and what option was chosen for the wire transfer, as well as if it was sent in both currencies, or just one, from my experience. You may want to ask your bank to let you know when it should be received. Good luck

It depends, are you sending the wire on a big spool? Is it speaker wire? Or audio Cat-3 Maybe? Is it being sent FEDEX? UPS? A lot of variables....

It will likely take more time for the receiving bank to acknowledge receipt of the wire than for the actual transmission time. But if you ask the receiving banks's wire department to check to see if it's been received, as opposed to waiting for it to actually show up in the account, you can confirm it much faster.
When I bought my car via wire (albeit all domestic in the us) I confirmed it in 20 minutes, and was on my way. |

You applied for a bank wire?
Bank wires if processed right away are just a matter of minutes. This is because everything is done electronically. If receiving bank is closed because of time difference, then it is posted to recipient's account the following business day. This is my experience sending and receiving wire transfers to the Far East. |
