my upcoming cruise questions

Okay so you cruise vets. tell me about the best things to do and see in cozumel mexico
belize city, belize
isla roatan,honduras
and grand cayman, cayman islands
We already have shore excursions booked but we can back out still.
So far we are going to go to Mayan ruins at tulum, cave tubing in belize, snorkeling to a shipwreck in isla roatan, and doing a stingray sandbar/turtle farm deal in grand cayman.
Any places to see, eat, get a drink? all info appreciated. Also any ideas or suggestions to a cruise virgin?

We went to the Ruins at Tulum about 10 years ago. Thought it was fantastic. Would go again.

thanks think we are zip lining when we are in florida so we skipped it on the cruise thinking twice in two weeks would be to much. I have wanted to see mayan ruins for a long time I am really looking forward to it. Chichen Itza is still on the bucket list for sure but we will have to do that on our next trip to mexico, maybe if we stay in cancun or something. thanks for the lobster pot recommendation we will try to check that out

I read that you're cave tubing. Belize has superb snorkeling. I'd do that over the tubing in a second- and I'm not a great snorkler. Belize is special though.

avoid belize city. it is dangerous and the country has much more to offer.
if you dive you'll have plenty of option close to belize city. if you want mayan ruins, you can do a daytrip to guatemala to see tikal.
we did cave tubing and it was great fun. or you can even go to actun tunichil muknal which is a unique site.

the view from yaxha (a mayan city just by the belizean border). you need to rent a 4wd to get there but it worth it. we were the only visitors..

I was in Cozumel on a cruise stop about 15 years ago. Everyone told us we had to go see the ruins.

It had just rained and was about 100 degrees. We rode in a taxi for about 45 minutes, you couldn't see the potholes because they were all full of water, but they were DEEP. We finally got to the ruins, spent about 3 minutes and went right back to the ship!

Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman. You actually get in the water with the wild Sting Rays and feed them squid right out of your hand. Definately a unique experience as you are out in the ocean and not in a controlled zoo or anything like that.
