I have the same exact wrists and remember what wears large for others isn't always the same for you and you have to decide how large of a watch you feel comfortable with. Personally I thought the 15450 was WAY too small, yes the lugs and case are bigger but the dial is too small. The 15500 wears too big because the dial is empty and optically makes the bezel look too thin. If the 15202 isn't an option then I would suggest a 15400 or 26320. You can see the latter next to my Daytona, the AP wears MUCH larger due to the larger lugs.

Hope the below helps, all on my 6.75" wrist! I'm local to you in LA if you want to try on my Daytona and or 15202.
You have great taste. And thanks for the offer! I re-measured and i think I am closer to 6.5 than 6.75. I have a Submariner 40 and a PAM 40 and those are fine for daily use but wear on the big side for me (wouldn't go bigger). I am still leaning towards the AP15450 but may fall back to the Daytona. May look at a 15202 down the road a little.

I’d consider the 15300. I own both the 15202 and 15300 and since getting my 15300 my 15202 hasn’t seen much use.

I admit as the value jumped up recently to nearly 100k I’m not overly comfortable wearing it, but value aside I prefer the 15300. I like the second hand, i prefer the screw down crown and the quick set date. Yes, it’s not as thin, but it’s still a very thin watch and extremely handsome. And at 39mm it will wear really well on a smaller wrist just as the 15202 does.

I would go with discontinued rose gold 29540OK Chronograph, because it’s a lower price than that range and is a real bang for your buck that holds value well

But if you don’t like that I would go with a panda Daytona as a classic flex

Why don’t you go mid-sized vintage? The 14790 is my personal favorite and at 36/37mm it’s comparable to the 15450 but thinner and better proportions. They are going up fast but getting one in the 30s is still possible.

Thanks - ended up going with a 15450ST - silver dial. I am very pleased with it and appreciate all the recommendations. I think the 37mm dial fits my 6.5 inch wrist pretty well. Maybe 39mm would be slightly better. I think my next one (not in the very immediate term) will be the 38mm grey dial (Ruthenium) chrono 26315ST.

15500st > Daytona.
If I were you I'd inquire an AP Boutique and have some patience & save the remaining 15k.

Congrats I have the same size wrists and am very happy with my decision! Go with your heart.

I love the way the 15500’s change so much in different light settings

I would look at 15202, 15400 or ROC 38mm only. AP and Rolex serve different purposes
