I like the watch as well and may consider getting one bit with a smaller wrist size I may need a smaller strap.
A shorter strap doesn’t exist. I bought one on the day they were announced and it didn’t fit my small wrist. I worked through the boutique to inquire about a short strap and corporate ultimately said one does not exist. Maybe in the future but no plans. So I’m sending mine back unfortunately.

I have a 7” wrist, so not small, but not huge either and I could use a shorter strap on mine. It works okay, but if it was 10 or 15mm shorter overall, I wouldn’t be mad. I’m just mainly looking forward to getting a second or third strap in general. I bought mine on the black strap, but would love to have the orange rubber and/or the blue fabric strap as well.

I could also use a shorter strap and this is a problem with the Slim d’Hermes as well—I actually had to punch additional holes on that one. I have my H08 on the very last hole.

Thanks for the feedback. I reckon I’ll have to pass on this one. A shame Hermes does think more broadly about varying wrist sizes if they are keen to be a serious player in the watches.

Not everyone has +7 inch wrists.

I’ve a 6.3” wrist and need to use the last hole and micro adjust. The SA was unsure when they will have replacement straps but said it’s been asked for by everyone that has purchased a piece.

New Watch: Hermès H08

Went to my local Hermes store today.
Have 16.5cm wrists and on the last hole with micro adjustment the DLC version with black rubber strap sat nicely on the wrist.

So ordered one with the orange strap and go to try it next week.

Really a nice piece.

I saw your WRUW post today and went looking to see if you posted an incoming.... I’m glad I did. Great pics and feedback on this thread, thank you.

Thanks for this thread you enabler

My wrist is about 6.5”, so hopefully I wouldn’t be maxed out on the last whole and micro-adjust. Can you take a pic of the watch on your wrist showing the tail side? I am curious how the setup looks on the last hole and micro-adjust.

Do you see this ring of light in your watch?

I tried at the shop. Everything is nice but for this weird ring of light. It is only on the titanium model. I cannot replicate it on the all black model.

I haven’t noticed that on my watch, but what I think you might be seeing is the polished chamfer/bevel that surrounds the crystal of the bezel might be reflecting some light there. The lighting in your pic doesn’t look so good, so its picking up something funky. It doesn’t show up in any of my wrist shots.

Hope these help. Tbh over the last week the strap has become a non issue for me, it’s a fun watch to have on the wrist.

I think it’s indoor lighting at the store. I’ve never noticed that and none of my pics have that. It’s the reflection of the polished inside edge of the bezel where the crystal sits.

Very nice, esp in the first pic! Congrats, looks good and well sized for your wrist I must say. I’m waiting for when they release replacement straps, hopefully more color options coming.

yup i also suspect it is some reflection.
But it only happens on the titanium, not the other while at the same location, same lights. There is no 3rd watch to compare.

But still great to hear that there are no issues with yours.
I need to go and look at it again

Thanks, I’m really happy with it, it fills a watch niche that I’ve been looking for the right watch to fill for a long time now...a bit surprised it was Hermes that made it, but happy that it exists! I think yours looks very good on your wrist as well. I would have assumed your wrist was bigger they way it fits on you.

I have my eye on the orange rubber and/or the blue fabric when they’re available. I called my local Hermes boutique the morning this was announced and they had received two watches, both the plain titanium, one on black and one on orange rubber. Had them reserve this one for me to check out. They held it until the following Monday for me. I have no history with the boutique and I’m not exactly a typical Hermes customer, so I’m kind of surprised they held it for five days for a stranger. When I did get into the store, I did ask if they still had the orange strap version, but they said they sold it that first day.

When I was in the Hermes Boutique yesterday and asked the same question I was told that there will be more straps coming before the end of Q2 - and different lengths as well as a custom made option.
The existing straps will also be made available individually to order from Hermes - I have asked for - if I buy the orange strapped DLC version, for the blue fabric version also.

That’s interesting to hear. I’m curious what they’re going to charge for the rubber and fabric straps.
