I had a really bad few days and then got my Kurono notification. Couldn't have come at a better time. Should be here on Monday!

Wow guys. Beat the DHL initial delivery date. I bought this after reading about it here. Gotta love a surprise to the upside.

I did and will continue to do so. Here’s my two straps (green on order) and the previous box with the new toki included. The material was also included with the watch.

And the new box has a similar design as the material that came with the watch. How cool would that be as a set?

Interesting, the straps have quick release spring bars but the black strap on the watch doesn’t.
Box quality looks and feels outstanding and straps are a bargain!
I will definitely go for the new box. Last time it took near a week to sell out the first box. Wonder how long this time?

I got mine. 50/50 on keeping it. A little small but I’m also fat right now. :)

Will post some pics of it tonight. The colour is really quite nice

I put on one of the special order straps from Kurono and think I like it better than the black it came on.

Very nice! From the pics the standard strap looks rather pedestrian. That looks good!

Very cool. Do you know what the writing on the strap means?

I preordered the Hawk & Pine box yesterday - detail looks crazy. Will make a nice piece for the book shelf.

lol... my wife is Japanese. She couldn't make it out.

Supposedly it's a poem from roughly 1840 that refers to the moon and it's relationship with the night. She could read the dial at least. Sorry!

I believe it roughly translates to "the moon indulges the night in various ways", or something to that effect.

Hahaha. Kurono's IG page says it "loosely translates" to that. Maybe it's a little too loosely translated. Haha

It contains the papers, a bracelet, a fabric talisman/charm, and a welcome card.

Lol… it was amusing to be sure. Luckily she likes the design. I’ve got the EOI in for the Seiji so fingers crossed it comes through.

Ironically it would presumably arrive before my Toki. Will find out tomorrow, with luck.

Do you know when we'll know if we're chosen for the EOI?

It was strange - I had to write them to request the EOI. Took a couple of days but they sent it yesterday. I assumed that they would send it automatically but that didn’t happen.

I did receive notice that it was on file and the first wave of allocations will be finalized later tonight. If you don’t pay within 48 hours you lose the allocation.

At least this is what I think it said. The process has been a bit of a cluster.

“You may have gotten a system generated email earlier from our systems provider. What this means is that your entry is being entered into the system, but it has inadvertently sent out a notification to you. We are using a professional platform provider for the balloting processing to ensure accountability. No action is required on your part, and you are entered into the ballot process that will be happening later tonight. We apologize for any confusion or alarm caused, and wish you the very best for the ballot later!

Please note that only successful registrants of the application will be informed via e-mail by 1 September.”
