I believe so too given the GS on the lower half of the dial...later models had high beat, 36000, etc.

I don't recall seeing a 6146-8000 with a black dial. Here's my 6145-8000 from March 1969 with the later text arrangement. The 61GS series were about as good as the original Grand Seiko movements got.

It's a great movement, from the days when Seiko was besting the Swiss with their mechanicals. My one above runs about +5 seconds per week.
