exactly. Outside of this site people think its nuts to pay more than about $200 for a watch. People here drop 25-50k on a watch routinely and many here spend much much more than that on a single watch. If jeans are your thing, its no different than watches. They are both equally irrational.

I just didn’t realise 2k jeans existed. What is special about them as a genuine matter of interest?

They make you taller, faster and live forever.

Jokes aside, designer clothes are all absurd now. A Gucci tshirt is $900+. Balmain jeans look great and are well constructed. It's just the market at this point.

Wow I am so cheap - I buy my Ralph Lauren t-shirts for 15 bucks at Woodbury Common.

I thought you were in HK! Did not know you frequent upstate outlets.

If you are talking the same place I am thinking of you need to hit up Monticello motor club. Awesome track. Rentals available.

I get to New York for 2-3 days visits regularly during the year. If I have time I do try and take a trip to Woodbury. Can’t get clothes to fit me in HK.

Do let me know next time you go over? I miss that Tom Ford and Brunello Cucinelli boutique. I can take my savings and buy more 4 figure jeans.
