How long on average will I have to wait to get a brand new 116610LN in the UK from an AD at list price?

Only the AD knows and it also depend if you're a first time buyer with them.
According to UK members on the forum it's very difficult at the moment...

Ask for a daytona and GMT if you want
You deserve any SS model after buying PT

If the Pt watch was bought at an AD i would definitely go back there, as they owe you a favor now.

For as long as you want to wait until you reach the “VIP” status with that AD!

When I picked up my DJ41 last weekend, a couple came in and asked about the Sub and the GMT. They were told there was a 4 year waiting list on both.

I think how lucky I was with my Sub C Date back in 2013. I called an AD local to me and was told that they didn’t have a waiting list and I’d have to wait anything up to a couple of months! Ended up coming in within about a month.

Back then a number of high street stores had stock of these in their windows but they used to fly out quickly.

How things have changed.

The spread on SubC dates in the grey market has not hit as hard as day the Daytona and sky dweller. If you really want one just buy it from DavidSW.

However, I agree with the forums here. You bout a DD and TT skyD, they should give you the sub c date they have in the safe.

Prices have been lower in the UK only since the GBP tanked after the Brexit news and vote. Prior to that GBP-USD traded at 1.6-1.7 and UK prices were a bit higher than the US (at least for Americans shopping in the UK). Only recently (past few years) has the currency exchange rates of ~1.3 been attractive for Americans and others from outside the EU.

Hi,

First time poster but just want to share my experience.

Went into local AD on Monday to look at the watches and they had a PM Daytona on OF which I asked to view. Stunning Watch.

Got chatting with the sales assistant and I asked if they had any Steenless Steel models so I could compare the weight against a PM.

The sales assistant returned with a brand new date sub that had just came in. I asked the waitlist time for a sub and he said the one I was trying was available.

Purchased it on the spot. I need to point out I had no previous history and this was my first Rolex purchase.

Call it beginners luck but in my short experience if you go into an AD in person and chat and show you are genuine buyer it does help.

The store manager said they get lots of time wasters who put their names down but don’t go through with the purchase.

That does sound very lucky! I just picked mine up from the AD last week, about 8 months from putting my name down to having it in hand.
