If you're a dealer and would like to be added to Orolo, just PM me. There are now over 10,000 watches on the site |

First - many congrats on seeing a problem and acting to fix it. And further on your success in a straightforward labor-saving step for linking to trusted sellers. Now, about those 10K listings - a couple of suggestions. Can you find a way to add a drop down to sort newest to oldest and other attributes? Is there a way to index the list to be searchable for people wanting to see only Subs, or another choice? Lastly, any AI or crawler gadget you might employ to tag price so a sort by price is also possible within those search results? See what happens when you do such a good job on your project? Oh, and really the last idea - add a PayPal “donate” button for folks who with to contribute towards continued support of the site (a’la Wikipedia). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Looks great!
Is it possible to add a EU section or browse on countries? Perhaps add a price comparison between very similar watches from the USA and Europe (so it's easily noticeable how expensive EU dealers are). |

Looks great buddy. It would be interesting if you could post analytics of users after a month to see how much old/new traffic you're getting!

Definitely - adding to the list. One question, I'm more familiar with US dealers, but who are some of the European dealers that I should add?

I like where your head is at but for instance I typed in 228239 which is a white gold DD40 I know exists on DavidSWs site and nothing comes up.

Really excited about this effort so thank you and awesome job!! As you mature the filtering system it will be great to see buckets of references ie. GMTs, Chronos etc. Would also be amazing to see aggregate insights like pricing trends, reference demands, inventory counts, geographical differences etc. You could be sitting on so much rich data! I could see this making a great mobile app as well. While this is a pet project, would make a viable advertising destination to help fund further development.

Small bug - and 228239 is there. Looks like a new watch may have come in at Davidsw so the site will pick it up upon the next update. Good catch, and thanks for the heads up |

How often does your site get updated? Maybe you can have a last updated time stamp? Also I did a quick search for AP “15305” which DavidSW has on his site and it did not appear. Do you need to have “15305ST” to appear as listed?

I'm working on a larger filter/advanced search feature that will be out in the next few days. I want to let people make more granular searches and filter out results as they want (like 'sold' as an example). |

The site is constantly updating as data is incorporated (theres a longer explanation but thats the simple answer). I'm still flushing out exactly what is the best solution for the default sort (like last updated as you mention). That is how it was at the start. As I get more data, I can be a bit more clever to try and return the best possible results.
As far as a particular piece not showing up on in search, it should show up upon the next index of that dealer's inventory. I just looked on DavidSW for a 15305 and didn't see one. Maybe it sold before we could index it? If you see this again, just let me know and I can debug it Quote:

I like this a lot so far. It filters out a lot of the junk on Watchrecon.

Also I just pushed an update to make searching on Mobile easier. So if you are using the site on your phone, you should now see a search bar like this - |

I've also adjusted the sort to allow the best pieces to rise to the top easier. To check it out, here you go. If you find any other quirks or bugs, feel free to drop me a line. Also thanks to everyone for their recommendations on new dealers to add. I've been getting PMs and emails. More are coming this weekend |

Thanks!
Updates A few new updates to Orolo.co that I just pushed out: * No longer showing the 'Sold' watches. Enough people pinged me on 'how to remove them' that I figure remove them. * See the Dealer - you can now see the dealer for each watch, and even go to a page to see only watches by that dealer. More features on the way this week. I've been working on adding data to each model so that there will be a filter for things like - material, features, gender, etc. It's taking a bit longer than expected but will give some really nice ways to filter through the results as more dealers are added. |

Updates
* More dealers - thanks for the recommendations! This week I've doubled the number of dealers. If you have others, feel free to ping me! * Insanely fast - maybe fastest watch search online? - Turned up the turbo boosters so Orolo screams * Added country support - Will be adding new dealers outside of the US later this week * Added Product pages - There are now defined pages for many watch models. This will be used for other things coming up. Example: https://orolo.co/rolex/submariner/5513/ Thanks again for the support and feedback |

Have ideas?
If you all have any ideas/features I can add, I'd love to hear them After working on the site for the last few weeks every day, taking a day off. Wanted to open up the conversation a bit - have any ideas? With tens of thousands of watches, prices, images, and thousands of watch models, there are a seemingly million ways I can take the project from here. But I'm interested to see what you all think. Some of you may remember that before this version, last year I had open the site as a price tracker for watches. I thought it was super handy to track how the prices are going up/down. I plan to bring that back in some form and integrate that into product specific pages. I've also been kicking around an idea to get alerts the minute a model pops up. Basically let you set a brand/model and when I find it, shoot off tailored emails. However these are the things that I'm kicking around. What else would you all like? Any and all ideas welcome! to a day off |
