even though it is a nice watch, it is not a better watch than a Datejust

I had a Seamaster from the late 1960s. It did not retain its value against either
the datejust OP or the Submariner.

It certainly was nowhere close to the tough utility of
the basic toolwatch reference 5513 Submariner. The 5513
earlier Submariner has also proven a wise investment
over time, while turning in an enviable vintage reputation .

This. There are many who seek to dethrone the King. But IMOP none come close.

Omega makes a nice watch. But their investment in bracelets is lacking.

I used to collect vintage Omega watches. But of course, on leather straps. And then I purchased a Rolex.

If you are a metal bracelet person, and I am. Then it is hard to be serious about any other brand that is in my price range. Just my opinion.
