Favorite 126710 Pepsi Bezel?

Not my picture but I'm curious which bezel does TRF prefer? MK1, MK2, or MK3?

Side question: Does anyone know what years these changed?

None of them, I miss the classic colors seen in the 5 series and earlier.

I prefer Mk1 and added one at Christmas. Mine is a 2018. The first run had much lighter colors.

Go to any AD or RSC and ask them you want to change to a Mk 1 or any other Mk bezel, you will get whatever they have in stock. In the real world just tiny variations in the firing process like you have on most all ceramic items especially red colourers.

I’ve warmed up to the charm of MK1, but I still think MK2 looks the best (3 being a bit too dark & the numerals too pronounced, IMHO).

I would be thrilled with any of them. :-)

Possible but in the real world all this Mk stuff only exists in internet land, if any bezel that has to be replaced and some do, you will get whatever insert Rolex has in stock. Whether its MK1,2,3,4,5 or any MK to come, as for the dye formula its the very high firing temperature prosses that finally determines the colour, when they processes batches of hundreds of inserts at a time.

Well in the real world just tiny variations in the batches of inserts when fired at very high temperatures. And now the various sellers have cottoned on to this Mk stuff, with words like super rare Mk1 bezel to extract more cash from buyers willing to pay its that simple.

Look at some of the recent incomings and they look more like the earlier “MK1” versions to me

I truly believe what Padi is saying is correct. Yes they’ve got different colors, but they vary with each manufacturing batch and they’ve come full circle from light, to mid, to dark, back to light again.
