How do oilers work (hold the oil)
I broke the tip on one of my oilers so I sanded it back down to a point - but it doesn't work anymore - the drop of oil gets held too far from the tip.
Cheap oiler, not a big deal to replace, but got me curious as to how they work? Should it be pointed? Should a "tap" on the end push the drop closer to the tip? Has anyone ever repaired a broken tip? Thanks |

The oiler has a little spade on the end get a pair of polished needle nose pliers that come together smoothly put a little bit of the tip of the oiler in and squeeze you should now have a small spade tip. Rik
