Rolex Sub 1680 - Advice

Hi Guys!

Well after I got the 5513 a couple months back, I was looking for a 1675 or a 1680 and I just found one locally!

It looks nice but the hands are not matching with the dial (not sure which is a replacement). The bezel insert is fat font and I dont think that the case is polished much as it looks thick to me.

Your thoughts?

Thanks

hard to tell from those pics, but the dial/hands look like quite a good match to me. All depends on price.

So far its for $6,800. I am not sure but I might be able to bring it down to $6,000 with some proper negotiation.

Let me know your thoughts so far and if its a good deal I might go again and get details pics and ref number to re-share. Btw no box no papers as usual...

Thanks again

that price point seems high for a white sub.

Should be more around the $5k mark IMO.

Hi Wahasa. I realize you are based in the UAE. I'll be there next week. Any good addresses for second hand Rolex? I had never thought before of going watch hunting there, but who knows what I could find? I'm excited now......:-)

Gold Souk - Abu Dhabi...

Still what are the pros and cons of the above watch? What year is it estimated from the dial?

Wahasa,
Pics are not too good, so difficult to give a final says on anything, but let me try:

- Bracelet is well stretched and shows quite some wear. Polished case too. Dial looks good and hands seem to match the dial. No B&P I suppose? Watch is nice but price is outrageous.

-We would need pics of movement and base back as well, to further qualify what we are saying.

Giving a date without a serial no is beyond my knowledge. I'm not aware of too many dial Marks in white 1680s.

Hope this helps.

If you have an opportunity, take a close up picture of the dial with the time set at around 9:15 to show all the writing on the dial.

I do not know if the crystal's age is making the dial writing look distorted because it is difficult to make out the proper identifying marks for a definite identification with that picture.

It would help if you knew the partial serial of the case as well...
