1968 Oyster Datejust - advice appreciated
Hi,
For a number of reasons I've realized I'm never going to wear a Rolex I inherited - does anyone have a recommendation on the best/safest way to get it appraised and what I should look out for to avoid taking a ride? It's a 1968 Oyster Perpetual Datejust, steel/18K case + Jubilee bracelet, original papers and case, in case anyone here is interested. Probably the closest match to its Model # is 116233 (based on my boy detective internet sleuthing, so I'm probably incorrect here). Thanks for any advice. Tim |

Pics - 1968 Oyster
Hi,
These aren't the best shots, sorry. Hopefully they'll suffice. Thanks, Tim |

Update - apologies for my initial inaccuracies, after further digging I believe this is a Model #1601, which has 14kt yellow gold, not 18kt.
