A 1603 question...
You probably have seen this piece. Seems like the watch is good but there are some discrepancies that I would like to ask your opinion if it's a major concern regarding authenticity:
There's a discrepancy of just one value between the serial number punched on the warranty certificate (S/N 532***5) and the serial number engraved on the watch case (532***6). A big big red flag? It is advertised as a 1603 yet as you can see, it has 1600 stamped on its case back. Is this an accepted anomaly much like what used to happen between 1002 and 1500 caseback being interchanged? Or it's a sign that it's a frankenwatch? Any comments would be much appreciated. |

Watch is original like the papers , they papers were mixed up.
IMO the watch is 100% original , IBM bought these watches in larger quantities direct from RUSA and propably the papers were mixed up in 1 set. There's an older IBM employee with the same problem Jack

+1. Imho 100% legit. I wouldn't pay too much for the papers though.

The older IBM employee you are referring to, what DJ did he receive? A 1600 or a 1603?

if you really want this model... i would say 1800-2200 depending on repair history. the dial is not the most desirable hue. the bracelet is the cheaper folded type. the 62510h is the better option. the engraving should not enhance nor detract value. the papersdont match... but the BOX is worth an easy 250$ on ebay fyi

Is there such a Rolex dial called "London Sky" as the watch is said tho have? The dial color supposedly changes between grey and purple when exposed to sunlight in different angles.
