14060 E Serial Pre Purchase Question (looking for lume experts)
Hi all,
This is my first post here and I am seeking your expertise on a watch I am looking at 1990 E Serial 14060 My questions are as follows: 1. Anything look off with the watch? 2. The pop and hands don't glow anymore which is expected from a tritium watch of this age. However, the markers still glow when shined with a bright light. The picture with the brighter lume is right after it was hit with the light and the dimmer picture is after a minute. Is it safe to assume that the watch was relumed at some point in its life? |

Could be re-lumed. Or it could be one of those SL service dials with tritium marking.

Something is really strange about that dial - and it's definitely not a service dial. I would say probably an aftermarket (non-genuine rolex part) dial. The white gold trims surrounding the luminous material looks oddly thick. Also, the bezel insert is aftermarket too and at one point, a loose rotor was rubbing and causing damage to the movement. Unless this piece is an absolute steal, I would pass on purchasing.
