Perfection is elusive....
I also considered color of text, shape of hands, size of text as well ...
Each detail is weighted different by each one of us ... When its sorted you know what will work for you

Ps Mike, power reserve is wonderful (required) on a 8 day movement... I never considered it on the 3 day or less.

I like that you get the "9" and seconds sub dial as well. And the movement is beautifully decorated on the Fiddy. It's awesome.

Agreed Andy,
"9" & seconds were strong preferences for me...

Interestingly the seconds indicator is so small that it almost appears still...
Very unobtrusive, perfect integration...to me

As far as the movement, the current in house stuff is exceptionally nice & unique & on the 422 it integrates the pr beautifully
the fiddy's movement will be interesting as it becomes less & less common i suppose?

I'm pretty sure they do that on purpose!

In a way: wait, if we build the perfect pam ... People buy it and are done with ... How would we continue to sell watches.

In my eyes: fiddy is very close to be perfect ... As close as you can get.

Shame, i have to win the lottery first to be able to afford it of sell half of my collection ....

127 is the prefect PAM for me except for the price tag.
Not long ago i was ready to move on the purchase but i had to sacrifice some watches that i have a special bond with them, so i stayed back to admire it in the pics and who knows maybe some day.....

Big congrats!

I've always loved how these domed crystal distorts the dial markers.

Congratulations once again, Gus
Now I know why I missed this thread and saw your 127 on the wrist-shot thread first (not big on "incoming" titles ).

I had that "1950-less" 127 on my wrist today so I can finally appreciate what it means to have such a super-grail PAM! On paper (read: in photos) the 372 looks like it's got more going for it especially when you factor in the price tag but once you put a 127 on your wrist in real life, that's when the magic happens... As I told my good buddy who owns both the 127 & 372; if the 127 was the same price as the 372, it would be the 127 hands down

So yeah, I congratulate you on your excellent taste and look forward to even more great photos of your new super-grail, sir

p.s. I LOVE the purple hues produced by the AR - too

Did i understand... There is a version without the 1950 text?
Would it be within the 1950 pieces or is it an OOR piece?

Yes sir, you did and I had it on my wrist and I looked at the paperwork and the SE box and the unit# was E16xx/1950 so not from the very first or last batch. My buddy told me to scrounge around P.com for more info.

No pics, but it's a 127 1-1 (dial / case / movement) only w/o the 1950 logo.
