That's the MP Decima in 'bourgogne' and it is a stunner! Love the hand stitching and the leather is beautiful!

Can't get much better than Mario Paci straps. Awesome quality!

Here's three more grail watches I could easily live with:

the PAM82

the PAM127

and lastly, the only Subersible I like, the PAM194

I dunno John. It essentially looks like a box full of the same watch to me. That was a conclusion I came to when I was into Panerai. I can see one Luminor and one Rad. After that it just seems redundant (assuming the same case size). But then, I'm not really a collector - more of a wearer.

That looks like Jerrolds (I know I've spent his name wrong) box of goodies! Last time I saw him at P4 Day he was wearing the 60mm Egiziano!

Well, they might look similar to Bruce () but I can spot at a glance a 202A, 203A, Mare Nostrum Prototype, Slytech, and a 201A Logo, so just those 5 watches alone will cost in excess of $100,000!

I can tell the difference in dials too Shane I suppose I could say the same thing about a box full of Rollies of different vintage, especiall Subs, SDs, and GMTs. I reckon that's why I'm not a collector. That and I can't afford to be!

I knew you would chime in with some of that knowledge. I know most of those are pre-V and A series and those PVD ones are super cool too! But interestingly, not a Rad in the box.

I'm with you Bruce...if I bought a few watches I would make sure I wore all of them in rotation, and not keep them in a safe.

If I had that box, they would all be in rotation. The more I see that PAM82, the more it becomes my grail.

The white dial with the PVD coated case? It's got to be a pre-V model as I can't find it on anything post-buyout. Could be a Slytech - big, BIG bucks!

Personally, I find it hard to justify having multiple watches that cost the kind of money Rolex and Panerai do... it doesnt necessarily come down to what I can afford either, I kinda feel guilty about it. Thats why I suppose i am thinking of moving on the GMT to fund the Panerai... I dont feel right in owning both.

I could probably feel ok having say a Panerai and a Tudor Date or something....

You can only wear 1 at a time right? Without looking like a dill that is....

Well, what's life without some excess? But I agree. I could never personally justify having more than say a dozen watches, and even then I could only 'do' it if I won the lottery. But like fast sports cars, watches are meant to be used, and I'd use 'em all.

But with my Seiko Monster, my Rolex ExpII and my Panerai PAM01, I'm quite happy... well, I'll be happier when the Rolex leaves the stable.

You hit the nail on the head, Bruce. They all do very much alike. Sure, there are subtle differences, but basically owning most of them would be like owning an SS Sub-date and a SD at the same time!!

Well, the Monster is great value, possibly IMO the best value for the money. It's certainly not a watch you see every day, so it stands out both because of it's size and because it's not the prettiest watch around. It's ugly, but so ugly it's too cool for school - and the lume is second to none.

I quite like mine. It's a great beater and mine runs about +7 or 8 a day, which ain't bad. I just wish the day feature was replaced with a hacking mechanism, but that's me.

Congrats, but you should know there is absolutely no turning back! The next step is to buy a watch winder to keep the GMT set in case you every want to wear it again, but you won't!

I actually only own one as of tonight, 2 if you count the one I just bought Andie.

I sold off my 118 to fund a piece that has been talking loud to me for about 6 months since it came out. It is not a Pannie, so I am expanding my horizons.
