Good choice. There is a proper time for everything, and a collection is always a journey. The fun lies in its imperfection. Once you achieve it, what else is there to do? Just enjoy the ride in the meantime.

Don't do #1. As someone who has a 5712 and an aquanaut, the aquanaut is sneaky good/incredibly wearable and you might miss it. The Nautilus is the "better" watch and I'd still take it, all things being even, over the 5712, but it's flashier, more formal, and less versatile.
