Would you trade

Hi all,
To give some background.

I have been promised a new 126500 ln by my AD and can choose white or black. I have the current 116500 ln Panda in my collection which i like a lot. .

Here is the question

I have a potential stratigiht trade with my 116500 ln against a DD 228239/Olive Would you do that trade and settle with one Daytona or have the "old"white and the "new" black as where my current thinking?

Also worth noting is that i have a DD 228235/Olive in my collection which i love

Love the heft of the DD and the sportiness of the Daytona. Any insights are helpful and a realize that this is a luxury problem.

I’d do the trade. No point in having both Daytonas. 99% exact same watch. Too many other nice watches you can get.

Let me ask... if you like PM DD's and like Daytona's... why not get a PM Daytona? Seems like that covers all your bases. With the exception if the olive dial...

Had the John Mayer but sold it as i prefer Daytonas with the ceramic bezel. Love the Le Mans....

I see lots of others are voting to DO the trade! Definitely no wrong answer here, and whichever watch you will enjoy the most is the "correct" choice.

For me personally, I think I would NOT do the trade. You mentioned that you already have the RG DD/Olive. That one personally is a grail DD for me and that would satisfy me for DD models.

Some are saying that the black and white Daytonas are too close of the same watches, but I feel they are quite different to me. Different color dials obviously, but also a fully redesigned dial in the 126. They are also different refs with different movements, different cases, different bezels, etc. I would personally enjoy wearing the 2 Daytonas and would get more use out of those than the 2 DD's.

Sure, the WG DD/Olive looks a lot different than the RG one, but essentially they are the same watch with the same dials, same movements but in different metals. Lots more in common between those 2 DD's than the Daytonas imo.

Trade doesn’t make sense either way. You’ll either end up with two Daytonas or two dds. Time to try a different model/brand.

RG olive is way better looking for me vs the WG olive. I would just trade the old 11 Daytona for the new 12. I like the new 12s a lot and then get something else.

Side note, I am trying to get a second DD to do date/day language modifications.

If you already had 2 Daytonas, I would do that trade. If you are waiting for another Daytona then I would hold off until you do get it. I also feel the Panda 116 is a better looking watch than the 126 Panda but just my opinion. The 126 Black dial is a great one.

Trades are a funny thing because it is so personal. The trade may be fair dollar value but intrinsic value is heavy for me and the white face DaytonsC. Good Luck!

Depends if you like DD’s or Daytonas more? I am partial to Day Dates over Daytonas but really do love the LeMans. I traded my panda towards a Platinum Day Date just for reference.
