Thank you! And I have a thread I started about a year ago when I got it, and the restoration progress. I will certainly be updating that thread with new pics and text!

i see your point yes. I meant NOS in a metaphorical sense as in unmarked and fresh as new but not untouched; as i state in the thread it was in fact touched.

I think there are different camps of thought/preference.

My ideal would be proper NOS i.e. untouched and fresh as new. But looking at it after it had some professional care by the RSC i personally do not mind a touch to it (i actually really like it) in order to bring out the beauty of the watch. RSC followed my instruction and truly took care of the bevel edges. It is as fresh as new but not untouched.

There are different levels of expertise in polishing or buffing a watch. I have seen some disasters. I was happy by the result because the chamfers/bevel edges are still there (i have turned to a chamfer fan lately). To me it mattered more to have a like new and fresh, unmarked watch although i deliberated hard on that; the RSC did a great job to this end imho

Hey no offence but as a collector over many years I get a little frustrated over the modern day BS... It's a nice 1680 wear and enjoy - I have one too that is mint and that it's downfall – it’s now worth so much I have trouble wearing it considering the premium for mint...
And I have plenty of vintage watches that are treated differently due to numerous other parameters....

Here are two more photos to check the work they did on the edges (they just lightly touched them in order to bring up the shine). Sorry no better pics.

And feel free to post your photos here man you are welcome. It will be good for comparison and reference for anyone interested in a 1680.

I have to say there is a BIG difference these days in sympathetic restoration and old school polishing and if a case needed it I would do it too irrespective of the contemporary don't polish mantra...great piece - love the 1680 White...

Many thanks! No bracelet is original with VD clasp but the watch was really babied and worn on scarce occasions by the owner. It has almost no stretch at all.
