Red Submariner 1680

So Im looking to buy my first vintage Rolex and I spotted this dude on Chrono24

He claims that his watch is MARK V

The SUBMARINER word dont match a Mark V and feels kinda off

Also the patina on his hour n minute hands dont match the dial

and he has everything but the guarantee paper

What do you guys think?

Hands are replacement lumiova and I would want better pics of the dial to make sure there are is no damage in the 5-15 area.
Will leave someone else to comment on the other points.

Looks like there isnt any damage to 5-15 area

but my concern is that it feels like a MARK IV with RED SUBMARINER lettering on White instead of on dial

while the rest of the details SOCC, feet and meters, less pronounced OPEN 6 leans to a MARK V

its like a mismatch

Agreed, looks off

= is not aligned as per MK4, should be under AR of submariner
the crossing of the f and t are at different levels on a MK4

those two difference stand out to me.

4.4m-4.7m for service cases I thought?

To clarify much above 3.9m red sub's are borderline so 4.0m and above seems quite unlikely.

you are probably right. I remember i had a 1680 with a service case and it was something in the 4m range.
