Gilt 1675

Hello, I recently acquired this Gilt 1675, and wondering the forums thoughts if it is all in good order. Which I should have done before purchasing in retrospect.

Thank you kindly.

I think its a nice dial, a late Gilt. MK5. Fat font insert...

What's the serial number? It doesn't look like this caseback is stamped. Later folded bracelet and even later endlinks.

1.33 mil serial, caseback is stamped '67. Yes the bracelet is not original it seems.

The dial has a lot of minimal spots, but I guess they only can be seen in special lights / angles....

Anyway a very nice gilt !

Thanks, the GMT market seems to have gotten ridiculous lately.

Nice watch!
Caseback with 67 is too late in my books.
1.33 Mio should wear a late65 / early66 caseback.
But that’s just a „small thing“.

It wont affect value at all. Some might not like it but it is close enough to not be impossible..

Insert is also later. If you didn’t know.

Nice watch regardless

Different font mainly. Gilt era inserts look different. Yours is later.

This is how a typical gilt era insert look like:

Thanks do you think there may be some overlap as this is close to non-gilt dials? Do you know if there's a good resource avail for Rolex gmts? Thanks

I would place your insert much later. It is extremely common that parts like an insert is changed. Don’t worry and enjoy your watch.

As far as parts being original, some parts might be original Rolex but some parts that indicate they were added later include the bracelet, case back and insert. The insert is from the 1980s, the case back should be earlier as well as a correct bracelet being the 7206 rivet or proper USA rivet or possibly a correct Jubilee.
