16753. Help please.
Potentially pulling the trigger on this tomorrow. Would be my first Rolex. Would appreciate the thoughts of the members of this forum regarding its authenticity, condition, etc.
Many thanks! Attachment 973536 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

1986. No box or papers. Being offered for $7400 by reputable NY-based dealer.
Photos taken on my wrist with iPhone. Watch has not yet received its pre-sale service. Plexi has some scratches. Jubilee has a little stretch. Thanks for your thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Lugs fairly polished. Hands and dial look to have been changed. Fair price. Does it come with two bands?

Thanks. The oyster is available but I would just be buying it on the jubilee. Are you saying the mugs have been over-polished?

That Jubilee is going to need restoring, a few hundred bucks with Michael Young in HK. Lugs, I'll leave for everyone else to chime in.

For that price, I think you can do better here with a trusted seller!

If you do make a go at purchasing it, I'd negotiate a lower price as-is in lieu of receiving the "pre-sale service". Alot of these jewelry store services are crap - just a quick selective oiling. You would be better to get a complete overhaul from a reputable watchmaker if it needs it. The jubliee bracelet is very stretched and will need attention. You might also verify that the jubilee is for a GMT. It will be stamped "50" on the final links. If not, that is something else you could use as a negotiating point. Come to think of it... After writing all this, I personally would probably just pass in favor of a nicer and/or cheaper example. |
