Day Date Presidential 18038 Problem
Hi guys,
I'm new to the forums and somewhat new to Rolex watches, I do own a Datejust but just recently decided to pick up a Day Date 18038. Well it arrived today in the mail with box and all paper work (which is great) but I noticed right away that the Day & Date weren't centered and it appears that the Date wheel is being covered up partially so its only displaying half of the number. I've tried winding clockwise 24 hours ++++ and it hasn't remedied the problem. I plan to send the watch back but is this a common issue? I do like the watch and i'm hoping its minor problem that can be fixed by an authorized dealer. Any thoughts? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers |

Ask for money back and find another one. It's not good to have that issue at the beginning of ownership. They can be found easily. I had the same problem with one about two years ago. It happened two days after ownership while setting the watch. I requested a refund and found another watch.

I am not sure, but was it fully wounded up? Also did you try to set the date at 6 a clock?
