Over the long term, the DJ/DD. Over the past 15-20 years, the sub.

I would say that currently the Sub is the model that is the most emblematic of the Rolex brand.

I think that probably came to be during the Eighties.

Prior to that, it was probably the DJ.

I truly feel that people there are not much into watches but think of luxury think of the DJ/DD when they think Rolex. To the WIS and those in the know I feel it is the Sub that comes to mind first.

Hard to vote on this one, but I say Sub. It is the icon for those in the know!

Last June in Baltimore:

Me: how much are those crappy orioles tickets?
Shady ticket seller: $25 each...sold out game
Me: those tickets retail for $7
Shady ticket seller: dude, you're wearing a submariner

I had to laugh...and that's how I voted!

Iconic according to which demographics. According to TRF I would suspect most here would vote for the Suc (including me). For the public I assume it would be DJ or DD. The population of general public would definitely be more than TRF type consumers so I would assume DJ/DD (more towards DJ) would be the iconic ones if you put a poll to the population on earth but in TRF alone it would be the sub.

you got that right!. the OP put rolex on the map in europe years before the "sub" surfaced. it was THE concept watch that made the brand. the rest is evolution.
